Skype chat with illustrator, Tina Macnaughton
P2-9 were so lucky to meet illustrator, Tina Macnaughton (Jamie's Auntie) via skype today. She shared so many aspects of her work. The children had lots of excellent questions to ask. Many thanks to Sue who organised it for us.

Poetry Performances
Each team chose a weather themed poem to perform for the class. The assigned jobs to each other and practised their ideas before presenting to the class. They used body sounds, muscical instruments and actions to bring their poems to life. They we so confident and really enjoyed themselves!

My Body sung in Mandarin... very sweet!
The quality is not great but if you want you can download the file to get a clearer picture.
Earth Day
We dressed in green to remind ourselves about keeping our planet clean and green. In P2 we learned about endangered animals, the carbon footprint and how it affects us.

Celebrating the Royal Wedding
We had a fun day celebrating the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. We enjoyed dressing up and sharing a posh royal lunch. We danced and even had some wedding cake.
Good lookalikes...
Spoilt for choice at the royal buffet!

Goodbye Orlando and Emily
We have loved having both Orlando and Emily join our class from the British School in Tokyo. They were both so lovely and made feel very welcome by the fantastic children in P2-9.
Today, Orlando played a piece on the violin to say thank you to the children. He was very good. Emily left last week and has been in touch to say that she missed P2-9 but is having fun doing lots of activities during the day.
We will miss them both and want to wish them all the best for a happy homecoming.

Newsround reports about lost dogs
The children wrote reports about their missing dogs. Then they read them out on a special edition of CBBC Newsround. Let's hope it's a happy ending for these pet lovers...
